Before jumping, visitors are asked to declare any medical conditions. Some conditions require a doctor’s certificate, while others may prevent participation entirely. The operator cannot permit jumping for anyone who is pregnant or who has photosensitive epilepsy. Prescription safety glasses are available for those who wear glasses but cannot safely use their own during the jump. Swing

The Taupō Swing offers an epic, adrenaline-filled experience over the Waikato River, right from the same cliff-top platform as the bungy. Participants can swing solo or tandem, reaching speeds of up to 70 kph while soaring through the air on a 44-metre (144 ft) arc. This North Island-exclusive swing provides an alternative thrill for those who want a high-flying adventure without a free-fall rebound. Spectators can also watch from the riverbank viewing deck.

Bungy Jump

The bungy jump at Taupō begins on the cantilever platform, which extends far out from the cliff edge. This design allows a clean launch and uninterrupted view over the river. Jumpers can choose between a forward fall, a backward fall, or a simple step off the edge. Tandem pairs are also welcome, provided their combined weight does not exceed 180kg and the difference between their individual weights is within 30kg.

Those wanting a water touch must request it during check-in. Because river levels and environmental conditions vary, crew cannot guarantee a dunk, but they will attempt it when conditions permit.

The jump is quick, but the lead-up and rebound provide a solid adrenaline surge. Once the jump is complete, crew on the recovery boat detach the cord, and visitors take a short ride back to the riverside base.
