For the month of March Experience Comvita is wiping the admission fee for its guided tour experience, with patrons being asked to make a donation to Trees for Bees instead.
Visitors are being asked to make a $5 donation each to Trees for Bees, rather than paying the usual $9 per child or $18 per adult admission fee. Trees for Bees, a not-for-profit educational programme, teaches farmers and urban gardeners about bee-friendly planting to help sustain New Zealand’s bee population.
Experience Comvita Manager, Drew Copestake, says the decision to trial the new donation approach to admission at Experience Comvita is to view our guided tour experience as a public good, as well as the not-for-profit receiving financial support.
“It’s always good to give back, and Trees for Bees is a programme that at its very core has the same values as Comvita. We too believe absolutely in the importance of preserving New Zealand’s bee population and taking care of the natural environment around us.
“So please spread the news with your friends and friends of friends, that if they’ve been thinking about coming out to see us at Experience Comvita, March is the time,”
