SUMMARY:Cubbin Theatre: Sportsball
DESCRIPTION:Sportsball is the story of Tai\, a young child with an active inner world and an active outer world. Tai loves playing and watching sports with his dad and he loves his big red ball. He can do lots of amazing tricks with his ball but when a game at a birthday party doesn’t go his way\, Tai has to work through his feelings and find a way to move through a difficult situation with the help of his dad\, his friends and his imagination. \nWe created this show for 4-6 year olds but everyone is welcome! \nFor what to expect when you come to the show please visit our FAQs on our website. Please contact us at hello@cubbin.co.nz if you have any questions about the performance. \nThis season is kindly supported by Creative New Zealand. \nCubbin Theatre Company is the Company-in-Residence at Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre for 2025. Check out their other events coming up in Cloisters Studio this year.

SUMMARY:Design Your Own Ceramic Mug
DESCRIPTION:Join our Design Your Own Mug workshop—a hands-on ceramic painting experience perfect for creative kids and teens this school holiday! \nEach participant (ages 9–16) will receive a bisque-fired ceramic mug\, ready to decorate in their own unique style. To make it even more fun\, they’ll choose from quirky handle designs like a croissant\, donut\, baguette\, chocolate fish\, and more! \nUsing a wide selection of underglaze colours\, kids will learn how to bring their design to life with guidance and all materials provided. After the session\, each mug will be professionally glazed and kiln-fired\, making it food-safe\, glossy\, and ready to use or proudly display. \n*For ages 9–16 only. Maximum of 2 participants per session. \n  \nThis event is part of the September School Holiday Fun happening at The Arts Centre September 20 – October 5 2025
