SUMMARY:Kia kaha ki te kōrero Māori / Give speaking Māori a go!
DESCRIPTION:Practice speaking in te reo Māori as you explore the sanctuary with our te reo prompts. \nAs you explore the sanctuary\, keep an eye out for wildlife and botanical signage and the te reo Māori prompt cards next to them.\nThe prompt cards contain some simple sentences in te reo Māori to practice while pointing out widlife and plants\, or you could learn and practice saying some species names in te reo Māori. \nLearning something new can be challenging and sometimes even a little awkward. In the vast peacefulness of the ngahere/forest\, only the trees are listening – so kia kaha ki te kōrero Māori / give speaking Māori a go! \nAn extra resource will be available from the Visitors Centre with tips on pronunciation and some other words and sentences to try.
